Samet Cömert is a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Aselsan, where they have been since 2021, and is currently preparing a PhD thesis on Modelling and Control of Power-Split Continuously Variable Transmission. Previously, Samet served as a Hydraulic Systems Team Leader and Engineer at TürkTraktör from 2012 to 2018. They also worked as a Research Assistant at Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi from 2010 to 2012. Samet holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Mechatronic Engineering from İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, alongside a bachelor's degree in System Dynamics and Control from Yıldız Technical University.
