Will Hanley

Will Hanley has a diverse work experience in the fields of basketball and data analysis. Will began their career as a professional basketball player, playing in various top leagues around the world for eight years. Notably, they spent five years in the Spanish ACB league, known as the second-best domestic league globally. Will also won the Basketball Champions League in 2017, competing internationally in 10 different countries.

After their basketball career, Hanley transitioned into the field of data analysis. Will worked as a Data Science Fellow at General Assembly, where they gained expertise in data cleaning, exploration, modeling, and machine learning. Will focused on programming languages such as Python and SQL.

Following their time at General Assembly, Hanley worked as a Data Analyst at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York. In this role, they conducted complex SQL queries for medical research manuscripts, ran statistical analyses, and built Tableau dashboards for key performance indicators.

Currently, Hanley holds the position of Head of Basketball at Angstrom, a data-driven sports forecasting business. Their responsibilities include odds generation, trading, and risk management.
