Philippe Nitsche is a mobility expert with over 20 years of experience in traffic technologies and driving systems. Currently, Philippe serves as the Lead of CCAD and Digital Infrastructure at ASFINAG since 2025. Prior to this role, Philippe was the Lead Engineer for ADAS/AD Simulation at AVL from 2019 to 2025, where they led a team focused on simulating driving assistance and automated driving systems. Philippe's earlier experience includes research and project management at the Austrian Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2019, and participation in various mobility-focused groups, including the iMobility Forum and the European Road Transport Research Advisory Council. Philippe holds a Master of Science in Intelligent Transport Systems from the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Vienna and a Ph.D. in Road and Vehicle Safety from Loughborough University.
