Julia Samwer

Julia Samwer is an experienced professional currently serving as a Partner at Ashoka since February 2025. Prior to this role, Julia held the position of Chief Growth Officer at Rabot Energy from February 2022 to January 2025, where expertise in optimizing renewable assets and implementing algo-trading for battery management was demonstrated. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Economics from the University of Hamburg and a Master’s degree in Économie from Paris-Pantheon-Assas University. Previous positions include a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Hamburg, a Visiting Researcher at the University of Oxford, and various leadership roles in startups and established companies, such as Co-Founder of Assemblyfor and Quandoo, and Director of Sales & Operations at Groupon. Julia's early career also included analytical roles at E.ON Energy Trading SE and EDF Energy.
