Max Sherman

Distinguished Lecturer

Max Sherman is an expert researcher in building science, specializing in ventilation, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency. They are an active member of ASHRAE, serving as a distinguished lecturer and previously holding leadership roles within the society. As a retired senior scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Max focused on residential buildings while also engaging as an honorary professor at the University of Nottingham. Additionally, they are a principal at EPB Consulting Group, providing expert services related to building science and forensic engineering. Max holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Chemistry from UCLA.
