Hal Peters has over 30 years of work experience in various technical roles. From 1991 to 1997, they served in the US Army as a Satellite Communication System Operator/Maintainer. Following their military service, Hal joined Fugro Chance Inc. in 1997 as an Acoustics Supervisor, where they supervised the Acoustics Electronics Department and ensured the maintenance of subsea acoustics equipment. Hal also investigated and recommended new acoustic technologies for subsea positioning. In 2014, they transitioned to Kongsberg Maritime, Inc., first serving as a Training Instructor for UNAV courses and later as a Key Support Engineer Subsea. In this role, Hal provided support and acted as a focal point for subsea and survey customers, working closely with the sales team to provide optimal customer coverage. Since 2017, Hal has been working as a Technical Sales Engineer at Ashtead Technology.
Hal Peters attended Kilgore Junior College in Kilgore, Texas from 1989 to 1991. Following that, they attended the United States Army Signal School in Ft. Gordon, Georgia from 1991 to 1992. In terms of additional certifications, Hal obtained a DNV-GL QMS Internal Auditor ISO 9001:2008 from DNV GL - Business Assurance NL | Certificering & Training in August 2015. In December 2014, they received training as an instructor for the UNAV Product line from Kongsberg Maritime. Hal also obtained a TWIC Card (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in March 2012. Additionally, Hal received certifications in Creating the Reliable Organization from Philip Crosby Associates and in Leadership and Teamwork Training from The PAR Group.
