Michael Burns is a partner in the corporate practice and our global co-head of energy.

Michael specialises in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and major project development with a focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors. He leads our energy and infrastructure M&A business in EMEA.

Michael's clients include multinational corporates, financial institutions, governments and high net worth individuals. In the last 12 months, he has advised on significant mergers and acquisitions in the UK, continental Europe, Africa and Asia across the energy, renewables and digital sub-sectors of energy and infrastructure.

Michael is recommended as a Leading Individual in Legal 500, is regularly quoted in the media and has published chapters in leading energy and infrastructure textbooks.
