John Laws has extensive experience in the finance and regulatory sectors, currently serving as a Board Member at ASIFMA since December 2015 and as Board Chair for DTCC Data Repository Singapore since June 2012. In this role, John oversees an independent non-executive board member function for a MAS and ASIC regulated entity. John has also been involved with Barclays Investment Bank in Government and Regulatory Relations and Policy since 2009, and previously held significant positions such as Managing Director of Treasury at Merrill Lynch from 1994 to 2008 and in Treasury/Money Markets at Bankers Trust Australia from 1988 to 1994.
