Head, Cell Line Development at Asimov

Scott Estes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. In their most recent role at Asimov, they served as the Head of Cell Line Development, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they held various positions at Codiak BioSciences, including Vice President of EV & Cell Line Engineering, where they focused on building process technology platforms and establishing external manufacturing supply chains. Scott also served as Vice President of Process Sciences and Senior Director of Upstream Cell Culture Development & External Manufacturing during their time at Codiak BioSciences. Before joining Codiak BioSciences, Scott worked at Biogen as the Director of Cell Culture Development, leading teams responsible for cell line development and technology innovation programs. Scott started their career at Genzyme, where they held several roles including Director of Cell Line & Cell Culture Process Development Group, Associate Director, Senior Scientist, and Staff Scientist. Scott also has experience as a Post Doctoral Fellow at MIT.

Scott Estes completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh between 1982 and 1986. Scott later pursued a PhD in Molecular & Cellular Biology from the University at Buffalo from 1989 to 1995.
