Jon Homeister, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of North Carolina. They have held multiple leadership roles, including Director of the UNC Pathobiology and Translational Science Graduate Program and Associate Director of the Autopsy Service. Previously, they served as a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Michigan Medical School and held the position of Assistant Professor at UNC from 2005 to 2012. Homeister also worked as an Associate at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute from 1997 to 2002, and is currently the Director of the UNC School of Medicine TEC Foundation Phase Pathology Coil. In 2025, they will serve as President-Elect of the American Society for Investigative Pathology.
