Mark Sobel

Mark Sobel possesses extensive experience in leadership roles within the pathology and medical research fields. Currently serving as Executive Officer Emeritus at the American Society for Investigative Pathology since March 2001, Mark previously held the position of Executive Officer at the Intersociety Council for Pathology Information until January 2018 and at the Association for Molecular Pathology until December 2010. Additionally, Mark contributed to the National Cancer Institute as a Special Volunteer from May 2001 to December 2013. Mark's academic background includes a Doctor of Medicine from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Sciences from the Graduate School of the City University of New York. Mark also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Brandeis University.
