André Lopes is a Senior Data Scientist at Asistobe since March 2023 and serves as a Data Scientist PostDoc Researcher at Universidade de Lisboa from April 2021. Previously, André held the position of Transport and Integration Manager at Metro for Fortaleza, where responsibilities included data analysis and statistical modeling for transport systems from January 2018 to August 2021. From August 2011 to July 2021, André was a Lecturer at the University of Fortaleza, focusing on Urban Planning, Urban Mobility, and Spatial Statistics, while also developing research projects. André began academic instruction at Universidade Federal do Ceará from August 2009 to July 2011. Prior experience includes working as an Architectural Designer at Debora Aguiar and Associate Architects from August 2007 to July 2009. André holds a Doutorado in Engenharia de Transportes from Federal University of Ceara, with additional qualifications from Delft University of Technology and Tokyo Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Federal University of Ceara.

Asistobe develops a software suite to increase ridership and optimize cost in public transport. Asistobe uses BigData analysis of passenger movement to build a strategic network design tool where cities, public transport authorities and operators may get insight on how their whole public transport network operates according to their own defined KPIs.
