José Simões has a diverse background in software development and architecture. José is currently working as a Software & Infrastructure Architect at Asistobe AS since November 2021. Prior to that, they served as the CTO at Perfect Orange starting from January 2018.
From August 2016 to November 2021, José worked as a Freelance Full Stack Web Developer, specializing in ReactJS and NodeJS, and designing custom web development and web design solutions for clients.
Earlier in their career, José served as a Grant Owner at Instituto Superior Técnico from September 2014 to June 2016, where they were involved in INESC-ID's Transactional Memory projects group.
José also worked as a Software Engineer - Language Processing at Quidgest from December 2012 to September 2014. In this role, they developed a language processing system for code translation between C# and Java, specifically for the Genio enterprise code generation platform.
José Simões completed their education at Instituto Superior Técnico. José first obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from 2006 to 2012. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Distributed Systems from 2012 to 2015.

Asistobe uses BigData analysis of passenger movement to build a strategic network design tool where cities, public transport authorities and operators may get insight on how their whole public transport network operates according to their own defined KPIs.
