Askew Pictures is an independent documentary production company dedicated to impact-focused storytelling at the intersection of history, culture, and social change.

Founded by award-winning producer and director Leslie Askew, we create films that uncover overlooked histories, amplify underrepresented voices, and reframe the narratives that shape our collective understanding of the past and present.

Our work spans feature and short documentaries, heritage storytelling, academic collaborations, and culturally driven branded content. We partner with universities, museums, foundations, cultural institutions, and mission-aligned organizations to produce rigorous, visually compelling films grounded in deep research and thoughtful craft.
