Tony Shi

Tony Shi has over 8 years of experience in the software development industry. Tony began their career in 2012 as a PHP Developer for eTAP NZ, where they prepared and created school reports written in PHP/MySQL that outputs into PDF files. In 2014, they moved to Moustache Republic as a Magento Web Developer, where they worked on full stack web development projects managed in sprints using Jira. In 2015, they joined The Web Company as a Web Developer. From 2016 to 2022, they were a Senior Back End Developer and then a Senior Software Engineer at Blackpepper. Tony currently works as a Software Engineer at AskNicely.

Tony Shi obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science and Statistics from The University of Auckland between 2007 and 2010. Prior to that, they obtained their NCEA Level 3 from Pakuranga College between 2001 and 2006. In April 2015, Tony Shi also obtained a Magento Certified Solution Specialist certification from Magento.
