Elspeth Day

Elspeth Day has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Elspeth is currently serving as the Chair of the Board of Governors at The British School of Milan - Sir James Henderson School, a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Vice Chair of the Board of Governors from December 2018 to December 2022, and as a Member of the Board of Governors from December 2014 to December 2018.

Before their work at the school, Elspeth was the Vice President of Member Services at ASMALLWORLD, starting in May 2011. In this role, they were responsible for branding and marketing, management of the member services team, and product development. Elspeth also served as a Consultant at ASMALLWORLD from August 2005 to June 2011.

Elspeth's earlier work experience includes a role as an Associate at Bondholder Communications Group from March 2004 to March 2005, where they worked as a project manager and managed communication strategies between issuers/trustees and bondholders. Elspeth also worked as a Market Researcher at Steer Davies Gleave from September 2003 to March 2004.

Elspeth's career began with internships at The Victoria and Albert Museum, where they worked as a historical researcher and participated in press and marketing work. Elspeth also worked as a Research Assistant at the Ashmolean Museum as a private consultant.

Overall, Elspeth Day has gained significant experience in leadership, management, marketing, research, and project management throughout their career.

Elspeth Day completed their primary and secondary education at Ashbury College, where they obtained an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Elspeth then pursued their undergraduate studies at McGill University from 1997 to 2000, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Their Bachelor's degree focused on Art History and Italian Language. Continuing their education, Elspeth enrolled in the University of Glasgow from 2001 to 2003, where they obtained a Master's of Philosophy in Fine and Decorative Arts and Connoisseurship.
