Dan Tompkins currently serves as a Course Instructor for ASME, teaching courses on Over Pressure Protection and Boilers and Fired Pressure Equipment Operation and Maintenance, Inspection and Repairs since October 2018. In addition, Dan is an Independent Business Owner at TESCON since June 2010 and has been a Director on the Board of Directors for West Parkland Gas Coop since March 1995, as well as for the Federation of Alberta Gas Co-ops Ltd. from October 2016 to November 2024. Previous roles include Chief Inspector at Sherritt International Corporation and Celanese, where Dan also held positions as Chief Engineer and Maintenance Manager, and Site Project Manager at Hitachi Canada Ltd. Earlier experience includes serving as QA Manager at EPCOR from 2001 to 2006. Dan's educational background includes a degree in Marine Engineering from Georgian College and a First Class Power Engineer certification in Power Engineering Technology from SAIT.
