John Hasselmann

John Hasselmann is the Managing Director of Global Public Affairs at ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) since November 2017, where responsibilities also include serving on the ASME India Private Limited Board and managing Government Relations & Engineering Education. Prior to ASME, John held the position of Vice President of Government Relations at IPC-Association Connecting Electronics Industries from March 2013 to October 2017, focusing on global advocacy and policy development. Additionally, John served as Senior Director of Government Relations at BSA--The Software Alliance from July 2000 to February 2013, enhancing the software industry's connections with U.S. policymakers. John holds a B.A. in Political Science from Virginia Tech.
