Leah Putman

Leah Putman is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on sustainable development and design for health. Currently serving as Director at ASME since February 2023, Leah has previously held roles including Senior Program Manager at Engineering for Change, LLC, and Technische Universiteit Delft, where Leah earned a Master of Science in Industrial Design Engineering as a Fulbright Student. Additional experience includes positions at RespiQ as an Industrial Designer and Sustainable Health Enterprises as Technical Director, leading significant global projects and product redesigns. Leah's background in quality and process engineering at W. L. Gore & Associates, along with previous research in biomechanical engineering at the University of Delaware, reflects a strong foundation in both technical expertise and leadership.
