Robert Powell is a seasoned Mechanical Engineering Leader currently at Q5D, overseeing the mechanical function and reporting directly to the CTO and C-suite. With extensive experience in leadership roles, Robert has contributed to multiple organizations including ASME as a GD&T Trainer, Ultraleap as a Mechanical Engineering Team Leader, and Renishaw as a Principal Mechanical Engineer focusing on 3D metal printing machines. Robert's career began at Safran as a Product Support Designer after completing a technical apprenticeship, followed by over two decades at MOOG Controls LTD, where significant expertise in complex electro-hydraulic control hardware was developed. Robert holds an HND in Mechanical and Production Engineering from Gloucester College of Arts and Technology.
