Umar Amjad is a highly experienced research professional and educator currently serving as a Research Associate at the Center for Advanced Materials, Qatar University since August 2023. In addition, Umar holds the position of Senior Consultant at Pacific Waves NDT LLC. and has been a Consultant and Assistant to the Editor in Chief for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers since 2017. Prior to these roles, Umar was an Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Arizona from July 2014 to September 2023, where duties included leading courses and coordinating engineering programs.
