Vacuum Architect - Vacuum Competence Lead at ASML

Annas Bin Ali is a highly experienced professional in materials science and engineering, currently serving as a Vacuum Architect and Vacuum Competence Lead at ASML since April 2025. Prior to this role, Annas held the position of Project Lead Engineer for the ASML-CZ SMT-PTB EUV Outgassing Project at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt from May 2021 to May 2025, focusing on developing reference outgassing sources for EUV lithography systems. Annas also contributed to the Carbon Fiber Project at Hochschule Hannover between April 2017 and March 2021, working on multi-stage carbon fiber technology. Starting a career as a Research Assistant in electron microscopy and tribology at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals from September 2014 to October 2016, Annas has a strong academic background with a PhD in Materials Technology from Leibniz Universität Hannover and advanced degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from King Fahd University and National University of Sciences and Technology.
