Bas van den Broek

Bas van den Broek is a Design Engineer at ASML, where they currently apply their expertise in theoretical and computational physics. They completed a Ph.D. at K.U. Leuven from 2011 to 2017, focusing on the electronic structure and transport properties of group-IV 2D nanolattices through first-principles modeling. Prior to that, Bas was a student member of the educational board at TU Delft and an internship researcher at NTT, where they simulated dissipative spin dynamics. They hold both a BSc. and an MSc. in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology, where they also served as a commissioner for a study tour to Korea and Japan.
