Bas Van Hal

Bas Van Hal is currently a Mechanical Architect at ASML, responsible for the mechanical layout aspects of complex lithography systems used in the semiconductor industry. Previously, Bas worked as a Postdoc in Materials Technology at Eindhoven University of Technology and as a System Engineer at Fokker Aerostructures B.V., where they managed requirements for components of the NH90 helicopter. With a PhD in Applied Sciences from KU Leuven and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, Bas has extensive experience in mechanical aspects across high-tech machinery and the aerospace industry. Their expertise includes applied mechanics, requirement management, and mechanical fatigue analysis.
