Dany Benoy is an experienced optical architect and designer with a robust background in electron optics and thermal management. During their tenure at Philips Components, they developed advanced electron-optical gun concepts for CRTs and later contributed significantly to LED and HID lighting systems at Philips Lighting. Dany's work at Philips Research involved pioneering laser-based lighting technologies and enhancing LED performance through extensive simulations and experimental validation. They hold a PhD and postdoctoral degree in Engineering Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology. Dany currently serves as an Optical Architect at ASML.
