Dejan Djekic is the Owner of Functor, where they focus on helping companies optimize costs in the data domain through innovative solutions like DataSliv, a highly cost-effective data lake infrastructure. With a background as a Scala Software Engineer, Dejan has amassed diverse experience, including roles such as Data Engineering Architect at Zoox and a contractor at Apple and Harvard Business School. From 2005 to 2015, Dejan served as a Linux/Windows System Administrator at DiN&Co, further enhancing their technical expertise. Dejan is committed to continuous learning and improvement in data engineering and AI/ML. They hold Serbian and Croatian (EU) citizenship.
