Ewoud Smit

Ewoud Smit, a certified information security professional with CISSP and CISM credentials, has extensive experience in cyber defense and IT security management. Currently serving as the Manager of the Cyber Defense Center at ASML since January 2013, Ewoud oversees cybersecurity operations, external engagement, and incident response globally. Prior positions include roles as IT Operational Security Officer and Datacentre Network Security Specialist at ASML, Business Unit Manager for Cyber Security at Northwave, and Security Analyst at Verizon Business. Additionally, Ewoud has contributed to volunteer coaching in volleyball and has held various technical and managerial positions in information security and risk management throughout a career that began in 1998. Ewoud holds a Drs degree in Biology from Radboud University.
