Giulio Bottegal is an experienced metrology architect specializing in algorithms and machine learning at ASML since October 2018, where responsibilities also include competence lead for applied math in parameter estimation and serving as a senior design engineer focused on the development of machine learning algorithms for semiconductor metrology. Prior to this role, Giulio was a senior postdoctoral researcher at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, conducting research on data-driven methods for complex systems modeling, and a postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven, specializing in machine learning and system identification. Giulio's research experience includes a role as a research associate at KTH and a Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the University of Padova, where also initial research endeavors were undertaken. Giulio holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Control Systems Engineering from Università degli Studi di Padova, enhanced by a visiting PhD student experience at The Australian National University.
