James Melfi

James Melfi is a Mechanical Analyst at ASML, where they have utilized analytical and numerical tools to predict the performance of complex multiphysics mechanical systems since 2016. Prior to this role, James was a Research Assistant at Cornell University from 2011 to 2016, focusing on the analysis of insect flight, particularly the dragonfly's mid-flight control techniques. They also served as an Instructor in Charge for a mechanical engineering course at Cornell in 2011. James holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, awarded in 2015, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire.
