Jan Berends

Jan Berends has extensive experience in sourcing and commodity management, currently holding a position at ASML since November 2018. Prior to this role, Jan worked at Philips Healthcare from 2013 to February 2023 as a Senior Global Commodity Manager and held various positions at Philips Lighting between 2010 and 2013, including Senior Strategic Purchaser and Purchase Project Leader. Additional experience includes serving as Area Manager at JamJoom Westcom Stork, Senior Purchaser at Nuon, Business Consultant at Philips Research, and Supply Base Manager at Philips Mobile Display Systems. Jan began a career as a Research Engineer at SLC Technology and as a Project Engineer at Hymec Hybrid Circuits. Jan holds an MBA in Strategic Change Management and another MBA in Strategic Marketing & Services from Maastricht University School of Business and Economics, as well as a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology.
