Jan van Schoot

Jan Van Schoot has an extensive career in optics and engineering, currently serving as a Fellow and Director of System Engineering at ASML since June 1996, where responsibilities include advancing the EUV High-NA optical column and developing imaging enhancement products. Previous roles at ASML range from Sr. Principal Architect to Project Leader and Application Engineer. In addition, Jan Van Schoot is an Advisory Board Member at Orange Quantum Systems and serves as Voorzitter of Philips' Philharmonisch Koor. Academic credentials include a PhD in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics and an MSc in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Twente, complemented by early research experience at KPN Research and a postdoctoral position that involved developing new optics courses for students.
