Joep Assendelft

Joep Assendelft is a Research Scientist at ASML, where they focus on light sources. Previously, Joep worked as a PhD student at LENS - European Laboratory for Non-linear Spectroscopy, constructing experimental setups for atom interferometry experiments. Joep gained experience as an intern at the European Space Agency, investigating cold atom interferometers and simulating data extraction procedures. As a master's student at QuTech, they improved nanowire transmon device designs to enhance magnetic field compatibility. Joep holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in Engineering Physics from Technische Universiteit Delft and a PhD in Atomic and Molecular Photonics from Università degli Studi di Firenze.
