Marcel Hilwig has extensive experience in environmental advisory roles, starting as a Milieu-adviseur at Tauw from August 1999 to February 2004, and subsequently at Hofstede cs Milieuadviseurs until February 2007. From March 2007 to December 2017, Marcel served as a Senior Adviseur Milieu and Aandeelhouder at KWA Bedrijfsadviseurs. Prior to the current position as Manager of Environmental Compliance and ESG at ASML since September 2024, Marcel was a Senior Adviseur Milieu en veiligheid at METIS Milieu Advies from January 2018 to August 2024, and also held the role of QHSE manager at Artex, a member of Hunter Douglas, from December 2020 to August 2024. Marcel holds an ir. degree in Milieuhygiene from Wageningen Universiteit en Researchcentrum (1993-1999) and a degree in Veiligheidskunde & Arbeidshygiene from PHOV (2021-2023). Areas of expertise include asbestos, soil, PFAS, and hazardous substances.
