Mario Coppola

Project Lead

Mario Coppola has a diverse background in aerospace engineering, robotics, and artificial intelligence, with extensive experience in both research and industry. At the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics, Mario developed a reinforcement learning algorithm for drones, while an internship at Honeywell Aerospace involved software development for flight-deck prototypes. As a PhD researcher at TU Delft, Mario focused on robot swarms, specifically pocket-sized drones, and served as a teaching assistant for various courses. Mario's professional journey continued at ASML, first as an On-Product Performance Engineer leading data analysis initiatives and now as Project Lead. Involvement with Bright Society, a talent incubator for PhDs, further highlights Mario's commitment to bridging academia and industry. Educationally, Mario holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Technische Universiteit Delft, along with multiple degrees in aerospace and robotics disciplines.
