Matt Carlen

Matt Carlen is an accomplished Lead Software Engineer and Software Architect at ASML since September 2018, with previous experience as a Software Architect at M3D LLC from March 2016 to August 2018. In that role, Matt led a team of seven engineers, managing projects in firmware and desktop control software during the company's transition to an established business with multiple product lines. Prior to that, Matt owned and served as the Principal Investigator at Matterhorn Research, focusing on materials science for environmental technologies. At Northrop Grumman from August 2005 to June 2015, Matt held multiple roles including Principal Engineer and Senior Engineer, emphasizing system reliability and R&D compliance.
