Paul Padilla

Paul Padilla is a Thermal Control Engineer at ASML since January 2021, specializing in designing control and optimization strategies to mitigate mirror heating effects in NXE (EUV Low-NA) systems. Prior experience includes serving as a PhD Candidate at Eindhoven University of Technology, focusing on nonlinear optimal control strategies for large-scale systems in automotive energy management from December 2016 to January 2021. Earlier roles include a Graduate Intern at TNO, conducting research on thermal modeling and control of novel cooling devices, and an Engineering Specialist at Sigmatron, where development of control methods and technologies for embedded systems took place. Paul Padilla holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Control Systems from Eindhoven University of Technology, a Master’s Degree in Systems and Control, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Escuela Politécnica del Ejército.
