Shouyuan Chen

Shouyuan Chen is a Senior Scientist at ASML, where they have been leading laser design efforts, modeling performance, and overseeing the integration and testing of optical components since 2018. With an interdisciplinary background in optics, ultrafast laser systems, and high-intensity laser plasma physics, Shouyuan demonstrates strong communication skills and detail-oriented work habits. Prior to their role at ASML, they served as a Research Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2010 to 2016, where they spearheaded research initiatives, secured funding, and supervised students. Shouyuan also held positions as a Research Assistant Professor and Research Associate, contributing to significant advancements in laser technology and X-ray source generation. They earned a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science from Peking University.
