Stef van Son is an experienced embedded software engineer with a strong academic background, holding a Master's degree in Embedded Systems and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology. Stef began a career as a Media Processing Intern at Intel Corporation, where tasks involved investigating programmable ISP usage and researching OpenVX graph specifications. Following this, a role at ebm-papst involved the development of a generic HMI device for electronic controllers. At TOPIC Embedded Systems, Stef worked as an embedded software engineer for a client through the consultancy branch before joining Lightyear.one as the Lead Embedded Software Engineer, contributing to the development of the world’s first highly efficient solar electric vehicle. Currently, Stef is a Platform Software Engineer at ASML.
