Thomas Moran

Thomas Moran, PhD, is a Senior Mechatronics Design Engineer at ASML, where they design high throughput electromagnetic linear actuators for next-generation lithography systems. They earned a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Connecticut and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Union College. With five years of experience as a materials and nanoscience researcher, Thomas has also worked as a research and development intern in Japan, focusing on dielectric thin film materials, and has held internship roles at Crossbeam Systems and TripAdvisor. Their undergraduate research involved analyzing photovoltaic thin films using advanced microscopy techniques under the Seward Fellowship.
