Todd Downey has extensive experience in both scientific and programming roles. Downey worked as a Tutor from 1986 to 2003 and later served as a Teaching and Research Assistant at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, from August 1994 to August 1995. Early experience includes a position as a Crew member at McDonald's in Vestal from September 1983 to January 1989 and as a Programmer at IBM in Endicott from March 1989 to April 1993. Downey also worked as a Research Assistant at Oak Ridge National Lab from 1995 to 1999 and as a Scientific Programmer at Advanced Technology Systems in Knoxville in 1999. Since February 2000, Downey has been employed as an Optical Scientist at ASML. Educational qualifications include a Technical degree from SUNY Broome Community College, a BS in Mathematical Physics from Binghamton University, and an MS in Physics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
