Bin Yu is an experienced Material Engineer currently employed at ASM Pacific Technology Ltd. since June 2015, specializing in the design of carbon fiber-based composites and the analysis of their performance using simulation software such as ANSYS. Prior to this role, Bin Yu completed a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, where research focused on tuning interfacial properties in hybrid CFRP-Ti composite risers and provided benchmark data for filament wound riser design. Additionally, Bin Yu served as a Teaching Assistant, instructing undergraduates on non-destructive testing methods and fluid power in integrated landing gear systems. Early experience includes an internship at the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering, where Bin Yu manufactured carbon fiber composite components for electric vehicles.
