William Wheatley

William Wheatley has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. William began their career in the United States Army National Guard as an Infantryman from January 1986 to June 1994. Following this, they joined the New Jersey State Police and served as a Detective Sergeant specializing in firearm and tool mark identification. During their tenure, they conducted examinations, identifications, and comparisons of discharged bullets, cartridges, and firearms. William also conducted forensic tests and reconstructions related to gunpowder residue, bullet trajectory, and serial number restoration. In 2009, Wheatley transitioned to Atlantic Tactical as a Senior Regional Sales Manager and Subject Matter Expert in firearms, ammunition, and ballistics. Their responsibilities included conducting ballistic ordnance gel shoots to demonstrate the effectiveness of duty ammunition, overseeing firearm inventory, and ensuring compliance with BATFE regulations. In 2010, they moved to F.A.C.T.S. Group LLC as a Group Leader. Finally, they joined ASP, INC in 2015, assuming the role of Director of Sales Northeast United States.

William Wheatley earned an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Raritan Valley Community College, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. In 1987, they briefly attended Seton Hall University, focusing on Criminal Justice/Police Science. William also acquired additional certifications, including a State of New Jersey Licensed Private Detective from the New Jersey State Police in January 2010, a Notary Public certification from the State of New Jersey in February 2010, and they are also a New Jersey Police Training Commission Certified Firearms Instructor through NJSP (obtained month and year not provided).
