Dr. Romain Seil is a Luxembourg-native orthopaedic surgeon and scientist, currently serving as the head of the Division of Neurosciences and Musculoskeletal Diseases at the Centre Hospitalier Luxembourg. They are an extraordinary professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Saarland, where they advanced from residency to assistant medical director prior to returning to Luxembourg in 2004. With a noteworthy leadership background, Romain was the past president of both the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) and the German-speaking society of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (GOTS). They have also been appointed to the medical and scientific commission of the International Olympic Committee and co-founded the Luxembourg Institute of Health's Sports Medicine Laboratory. Romain has made significant contributions to the field, editing over 300 scientific articles and engaging in research focused on anterior cruciate ligament injuries and sports-related health issues.
