Rob Alber

Rob Alber has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and software development. Rob started their career at the Michigan Department of Information Technology as a Web Developer, where they performed site administration and maintenance for MDOT websites and applications. Rob then worked as a Freelance Webmaster, Designer, and Developer, where they analyzed client needs, designed, developed, and maintained websites and applications using PHP and Flash.

Rob Alber joined Professional Computing Resources Inc as a Programmer in 2007 and gradually worked their way up to the position of Technical Development Manager. In this role, they designed, developed, and implemented PHP Technology Management Application called PCR-360. Rob led a team of 8 to 10 developers, managed day-to-day operations, and played a key role in hiring and firing decisions. Rob was also responsible for planning and organizing the yearly Users Conference. Rob was recognized for their performance excellence with the CEO Award in 2020 and graduated from the Koniag Government Services Leadership Program in 2022.

In 2023, Rob Alber joined Aspire Software as a DevOps Manager, where they are currently responsible for overseeing and managing the development, operations, and maintenance of software systems.

Before that, from 2003 to 2006, they studied Computer Science at Michigan State University. Rob began their higher education journey at Grand Rapids Community College from 2000 to 2003, where they earned an Associate's degree in Arts. Additionally, Rob Alber also attended Michigan State University for an undisclosed period, majoring in Computer Science.
