Darcy Ayers

Darcy Ayers is an undergraduate student at Duke University, pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. Currently serving as a Tour Guide and Engineering Teaching Assistant at Duke, Darcy conducts campus tours for prospective students and mentors first-year engineering students. As a member of the Design Health 4 team, Darcy developed a prototype for an underwater ventilation system. Darcy's contributions also extend to the Duke University Center for Global Women's Health Technologies as an Ignite Trainer, where curriculum development for middle school students takes place. Previous experiences include assessing applications for a scholarship program with ASSE International, interning with Biosense Webster and the Duke University School of Medicine, and various roles in customer service and research. Darcy has a history of engaging in engineering projects, highlighted by a presentation at the Pediatric Academic Society conference in 2022.
