Karma Gurung

Karma Gurung has a diverse work experience in finance and customer service. They started their career as a LEAP Peer Mentor at Saint Mary's University in 2013, providing mentorship to fellow students. In 2014, they worked as a Financial Literacy Assistant at the same university, where they organized presentations and communicated with various departments on budget management and financial aid.

In 2012, Karma worked as a Waitress at Baan Thai Restaurant, gaining customer service skills. They then joined Bentley Leathers Inc. as a Sales Associate in 2013.

In 2015, Karma started their finance career as an Analyst, Fund Accountant at Conifer Financial Services, where they worked until 2018. They then moved to Maitland as a Hedge Fund Accountant from 2018 to 2019, and subsequently became a Fund Accountant - Private Equity at the same company.

Currently, Karma works as a Financial Analyst at Assent starting in October 2019.

Karma Gurung began their education at ICS Inter-Community School Zurich in 2009 and completed their high school education in 2011, receiving their International Baccalaureate degree. Karma then attended Saint Mary's University from 2011 to 2015, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in International Development Studies, with a minor in Business. In 2018, Karma enrolled at Mount Saint Vincent University and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Accounting in 2021.
