Vinoth Venkatesan

Vinoth Venkatesan is currently an advisor at Assertion. Prior to this, they held various positions in the cybersecurity field with companies such as WOPLLI, ACS, State Street, The Cyber Bytes, and ASSERTION Inc. Most recently, they were the head of infrastructure security at Standard Chartered Bank from December 2015 to August 2021. There, they were responsible for implementing various information security strategies across business divisions, developing security architecture strategies and road maps for various cybersecurity projects, and managing risk treatment strategies for various business processes. Vinoth has also implemented various information security frameworks and standards such as ISO/IEC 27000, NIST CSF, and PCI-DSS. In addition, they have experience in container security life-cycle management on various platforms such as OpenShift, EKS & AKS.

Vinoth Venkatesan has a degree in Cybersecurity: Technology, Application and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Vinoth also has an MBA in Information Technology from the University of Madras.
