Shane Bird

Shane Bird has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Shane began their career as a Bar Tender at the Osprey Hotel from 2011 to 2014. Shane then worked as a Bar Tender at the West Wicklow House from 2014 to 2015 while also volunteering as a Research Assistant at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. In 2015, they took on the role of Laboratory Assistant at St. Vincent's University Hospital, where they maintained and serviced sample processors and analyzers. Shane then transitioned into the role of a Biomedical Scientist at St. James's Hospital Dublin from 2015 to 2017, where they were responsible for equipment maintenance and quality management. Seeking to future-proof their skill set, they enrolled in the Computer Science MSc program at University College Dublin from 2017 to 2018. During their time there, they gained expertise in various programming languages and strengthened their teamwork and communication skills. Following their graduation, they joined Complex Software Labs in 2018 as a Software Engineer, working on the NetHope project in collaboration with the Norwegian Refugee Council. Shane then joined ClaimVantage in 2019 as a Software Developer, involved in software development. In 2021, Shane joined ClarityCX1 as a Senior Software Engineer and later progressed to the role of Dev Team Lead in 2022. Shane recently started working at Asset Class in 2022 as a Senior Software Engineer and is currently serving as the Lead Developer, responsible for leading development efforts.

Shane Bird pursued their education in a methodical manner, focusing on two major degrees. From 2010 to 2014, they attended Technological University Dublin, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biomedical Sciences, with a specialization in General Biomedical Sciences. Later, from 2017 to 2018, Shane pursued further education at University College Dublin, where they completed a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science.
