Oliver Higbee is an experienced professional in engineering and innovation, currently serving as the Head of Application Engineering and Senior Engineer at AssetCool. From December 2017 to July 2025, Oliver held the role of Innovation Lead at AssetCool, contributing to advanced technology that enhances electricity network performance while minimizing energy losses, costs, and emissions. Prior to this, Oliver was a Postgraduate Researcher at the University of Exeter from September 2013 to December 2017, focusing on the interactions between dielectric interfaces and surface waves in the Mid-IR. Oliver obtained a Master of Physics with Honours and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Engineering from the University of Exeter, along with A Levels and GCSEs from Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Alford.
