Laura Weeden, P.Eng. is a highly experienced engineering professional currently serving as a Project Engineer at Associated Engineering since January 2025. Prior to this role, Laura held the position of Vice President Operations at Sio Silica Corporation from May 2018 to January 2025 and was the Chair of The Canadian Energy and Climate Nexus from March 2020 to March 2023, contributing to the development of inclusive energy systems in Canada. Laura has also made significant contributions to the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Calgary Section, serving as Chair and in other leadership roles from June 2016 to September 2021. Earlier experience includes positions at Baker Hughes, Schlumberger, Pomerleau Inc., and Transport Canada. Laura earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Dalhousie University and a Diploma of Engineering from Saint Mary's University, with ongoing education in Project Management from the University of Calgary.
